Life: An Ugly Phase

Life, what exactly we have understood from it? Are we enjoying our lives happily or making others unhappy in their lives? Has anyone ever thought of asking this question to your own self?

We are living in an era, where we have made so many different meanings to life, based on our Personalities, Backgrounds, Religions, Caste etc. and there surely would be many other factors than this. We live in an age, where people give importance to such things than understanding the person. Judgments are the first thing we would hear, rather than the appreciations or understandings about someone.

UGLY a term or a habit of how we see people and use this for each other, I have been coming across this term since the very childhood days of my life, asking everyone what is exactly they had understood by it. One who is not so good looking or one whom you do not like to see in person? On the other hand, one who is not of our caste, nor our religious backgrounds?

There could be many thought to this term, when we hear it. I really am not in an opinion with any of the factors mentioned above. What I have seen so far in my life journey is very devastating than the reality. A beggar is often termed as Ugly; a non good-looking person is termed as ugly. Are we on the right track when we even think of considering such factors, which makes ourselves UGLY?

Why do not we call someone ugly by his thought, why is that someone has to be judged by who he/she is and which religion they belong to. My opinion has become more and more clear on the very same; we are living in a world where faces say more than the words.

Recently, while crossing the streets of Pune, I was capturing pictures of people on the roadside; I met a big person sitting right at the stairs near a Temple. Therefore, while I was capturing him, he called me and said “Bhaiya Picture leke sub khush hojate hai but hum garibo ko koi aur madat nhi karta” (meaning that, everyone is happy to click our pictures, but no one thinks of helping us). Hearing it made me more sympathetic about the person. So one of my friends who were with me that time, just shared her bottle with him, and told him that “Bhaiya main apke liye bhagwan se dua mangungi” (that I will pray to god for you). So coming to the point, it is us not anyone else who makes a difference to the world, it is us who sets it apart.
